Must Have Beauty Favs & Newly Loved Products!

Recently, both Lauren and I have been into doing our makeup more often than usual. Most of the products that we use are drugstore and budget friendly, with the exception of few. We have both used a majority of these products for quite awhile and even discovered them through the use of our family and friends!

__________________________________Concealer__________________________________

Finding the perfect concealer can be difficult sometimes. I know whenever we used to buy ours it was either too light or too dark. Thankfully, now that we are older, we both know how to pick the perfect shade that can both conceal and highlight our face well! Before putting on our actual concealer, we like to go in with a salmon toned one (we use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade medium) that way the redness/darkness is reduced. After, we either use the NYX HD Concealer in Yellow or our Urban Decay Naked Concealer in Medium-Dark Warm to highlight. Not to mention, all of these concealers are extremely lightweight!!!!

Unlike concealer, finding the ideal foundation shade seems to be a whole lot easier. However, we tend to only apply foundation on special events when we want more of an even looking canvas. Our go to foundation not only for us when we do our own makeup but others as well is the L'Oréal True Match foundation in Caramel Beige mixed with the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation in Caramel. To contour we use the Sonia Kashuk contour stick or a concealer/foundation darker than our skin tone.

______________________________Eyes and Lips _____________________________

An affordable, yet amazing quality mascara and eyeliner are the L'oreal Voluminous Original mascara and both the Physicians Formula retractable eyeliner and the Rimmel London Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner. All are almost available at any drugstore for amazing prices and last for quite some time. For our lips I (Lea) like to use the NYX retractable lip liner in Vanilla Sky to achieve a nice nudey pink, meanwhile Lauren prefers to use the Elizabeth Arden Cream Blush on her lips to get a natural mauve pink lip.

Lately, we have been putting these newly (to us) products to test when doing our "everyday makeup". The Mac Mineralize Skinfinish highlighter, Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer, Ben Nye Colourless Powder, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel are all amazing products that help pull our makeup looks together, even though they are quite simple. Unlike our favourite drugstore brands that are more affordable, these products (other than the Ben Nye Powder) are more of on the pricier side, but are worth the money as you can get many uses out of each item.
