Styling Pants in the Summer
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Summer is obviously the hottest season, but there are some days where you go somewhere and you can't wear typical everyday "beachy street wear". Typically, on cooler days in the summer, Lauren and I like to wear some type of pant out as we often get cold and pair it with a light blouse that is either short or long sleeve, depending on what we're doing throughout the day.

In order to not boil as the day goes on, we find that it is more practical to wear a loose/light weight blouse if you're going to wear pants. Your body won't be too revealed if you tend on staying indoors where there is air conditioning, yet you won't over heat as your upper body is out in the open "breathing".

Wearing pants in the summer doesn't just limit you to tight fitting articles like jeans or leggings, there are many light/loose trousers that can be worn as well and still be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

If you're going for more of a loose fitting pant such as trousers instead of jeans or leggings you want to make sure that your top is not too baggy and loose. The excessive baggyness can clash with your outfit and make you appear to be shorter. Tucking in a looser top into your choice of pant can also help elongate your torso, thus not making you appear shorter. To also give off more of a summer vibe when wearing any type of pant, (jeans especially) we like to cuff the bottom a little. This is particularly done when wearing some type of heal.
